Clinical Social Work Supervision
I provide clinical supervision for registered social workers doing therapeutic work, online across Aotearoa New Zealand and in person in Auckland.
Twelve years across community, hospital, and specialist mental health settings means I've worked with a wide range of presentations and a wide range of contexts. I currently supervise clinicians in tertiary counselling services and in school-based therapeutic work, alongside social workers in private practice. Whatever the setting, the questions tend to be similar: how do I do good work here, how do I hold what I'm carrying, and how do I keep going.
I offer individually tailored supervision for social workers who want to deepen their clinical skills, build confidence, and sustain themselves in this work. My approach is collaborative and practical, with a focus on both matching clinical theory to clients needs and your wellbeing as a clinician.
I also hold specialist knowledge in eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image, so if that's part of your caseload, it's territory I know well.
I'm a Registered Social Worker with a current practising certificate. We'll work from a written supervision agreement, and I can provide the documentation SWRB asks for at competence assessment. Where cultural supervision would serve you better alongside ours, I'll support you to arrange it.
Working in allied health? I'm happy to supervise clinicians from other allied health backgrounds. If your own registration body requires supervision, check with them first about whether supervision from a registered social worker counts toward it, as requirements differ by profession.
Group supervision is available on request. Get in touch to talk about what you're after.
